Job Title: Food Service Supervisor - Leader of a Culinary Team

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to lead our culinary team at BOMBAY TALKIZ.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our food service, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional customer service. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 people, training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. You will also estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, and benefits including a competitive compensation package, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 3-4 people in providing exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and walk during your shift.

Please note that we are looking for candidates who are available to work 32-40 hours per week and can commit to a permanent position.
