Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Purolator Inc. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our operations clients, driving proactive employee and labour relations, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations clients to drive proactive employee and labour relations, including attendance management, recruitment & selection strategy, performance management, and terminations.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes, including coaching and guiding in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and advice to clients regarding employment-related issues, including interpretation of the Collective Agreement and Company policies & procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy environment and support the management of WSIB, STD, and LTD cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Anticipate barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolution that supports a performance-driven culture.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements & best practices to influence human resources strategies.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent combination of education and employee relations experience, with an achievement of CHRP designation or postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years progressive HR experience with demonstrated knowledge in labour relations and client relation management.
  • Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytic skills and proven ability to problem-solve.
  • HR systems experience, preferably HR SAP.
