Job Title: Sales Representative – Commercial HVAC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Startec Compression & Process and Startec Service. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for securing HVAC service, maintenance, retrofits, and contract agreements with new and existing customers. You will use your technical, organizational, and service knowledge to assist customers in developing the best possible solutions for their needs while contributing to the revenue growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Develop new business within key product offerings.
  • Utilize proven sales methods to identify and solicit potential clients.
  • Prepare estimates, including parts and equipment sourcing.
  • Deliver Startec quotations and proposals for new and renewal of service agreements.
  • Log and record all sales opportunities within the CRM system.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Participate in job kick-off meetings with the Service HVAC Coordinator and mechanics.
  • Create long-term customer relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Communicate regularly with all current clients and advise relevant stakeholders of any complaints, issues, or performance challenges identified through client conversations.

Operational Support:

  • Provide weekly Sales Reports to the Sales Team detailing services sold, quotes issued, sales pending, etc.
  • Log and record all sales opportunities within the CRM system and follow up on the status.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technologist, EIT, HVAC Technician or equivalent experience in commercial HVAC service.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a trade role and/or 3 - 5 years of sales experience.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the commercial HVAC industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
