About the Role

This full-time position involves providing direct patient care to oncology patients, utilizing evidence-based practice to assess, intervene, and manage symptoms. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment/care plans and provide holistic nursing care to patients during their cancer care experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, and treatment coordination.
  • Collaborate with patients, family, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify treatment/care plans.
  • Administer medications, injections, blood products, and IV fluids as required by the care plan.
  • Maintain patient records, collecting and documenting patient information, health care history, nursing assessment, telephone communications, symptom and side effect management, patient education, and care evaluations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 per annum, based on the job requirements and location.
