We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to residents/patients in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents/patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as identified in the care plan.
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses to ensure high-quality care.
  • Engage in education and certifications to maintain competency and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Provide person-centered care that respects the dignity and autonomy of residents/patients.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care).
  • One to two years' experience working in a health care setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and privacy requirements, as well as workplace safety protocols.
