Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents and patients with their daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care and support, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Assist with medication administration and monitoring
  • Participate in care planning and implementation, working collaboratively with the healthcare team
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and patients
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
  • One to two years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably caring for elderly or disabled clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 7.75 hour shifts, with a mix of days, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical and mental demands.
