Director, Wholesale Financial Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Wholesale Financial Operations to join our Capital Markets Finance team at CB Canada. As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and empowering a team of accounting professionals focused on providing critical governance and control functions over the financial results of our Capital Markets business segment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of accounting professionals in providing critical governance and control functions over the financial results of our Capital Markets business segment.
- Establish and maintain the control and governance framework over the financial reports of each business area.
- Ensure flawless execution of close processes, including review of financial and regulatory submissions.
- Develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives and system changes.
- Lead a small team, enabling high performance through active coaching and candid feedback.
- Accounting designation in good standing.
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
- University degree in finance, economics, math, or other quantitative discipline.
- Technical mastery of relevant financial and regulatory accounting standards.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Exposure to Capital Markets businesses, including an understanding of complex financial instruments and transactions.
- Highly respected Canadian multinational financial services company.
