Director, Wholesale Financial Control

CB Canada is seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our Capital Markets Financial Control team as a Director, Wholesale Financial Control. This key role will be responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals in providing critical governance and control functions over the financial results of the Capital Markets business segment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of accounting professionals in analyzing and advising on key business transactions.
  • Partner and liaise with various business partners and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and reliable financial information.
  • Establish and maintain control and governance frameworks over financial reports.
  • Ensure flawless execution of close processes, including review of financial and regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
  • Accounting designation in good standing.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • University degree in finance, economics, math, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Technical mastery of relevant financial and regulatory accounting standards (IFRS).
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Exposure to Capital Markets businesses, including complex financial instruments and transactions.
