Job Summary:

The Transportation Representative will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods from Asia to ADC and USA. This includes approving bookings, filing creations, handling inbond shipments, and maintaining tracking reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Approve all bookings requests from CRS, Delmar, and OTS
  • File creations for shipments tagged to Asia Import Desk
  • Handle inbond shipments 1-2 times a week
  • Maintain and update tracking reports for each forwarder
  • Analyze and negotiate trucking rates
  • Coordinate with involved parties for missing documents and required information
  • Confirm Customs release and Steamship line releases
  • Verify supplementary charges prior to payment of invoices
  • Maintain working relationships with buyers and warehouses
  • Track and trace shipments to avoid potential storage/demurrage
Requirements:
  • DES or DEC in administration (transportation/GOL is an asset)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of AS-400 and JDE
  • Bilingual (written and spoken)
