Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Southport Daycare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records and accounts of the daycare, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely payment of bills.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial plans and budgets.

Requirements

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is not required but two years of experience in accounting or a related field is mandatory.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
