Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Professional to join our team at Southport Daycare. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering supplies and equipment to ensure a well-stocked and organized daycare environment.
  • Engaging children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Preparing healthy snacks and arranging rooms or furniture to facilitate lunch and rest periods.
  • Submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participating in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • A combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • Permanent work term with 32 hours per week.
  • Work language: English.
