Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our Home and Community Care department. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will work with clients with developmental disabilities in the community, providing rehabilitation services, assessments, and interventions. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement rehabilitation services to clients with developmental disabilities in the community
  • Conduct rehabilitation assessments, provide treatment and interventions, and make recommendations for specialized medical equipment and environmental modifications
  • Provide education to caregivers and referrals to appropriate community resources
  • Work under the direction of the Community Care Program Manager
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy program
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia
  • Two years of experience in acute care, long-term care facility, or community setting
  • Previous experience in providing services to clients with developmental disabilities
  • Community experience and previous experience with assessment for specialized wheelchairs, seating systems, and technical aids
