This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work with an industry leader in wine and spirits distribution. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and brand success through effective regional planning, selling, merchandising, and communication.

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in sales and marketing to lead our portfolio of supplier brands. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing annual brand plans, managing marketing activities, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to achieve company and supplier objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual brand plans for each supplier, aligning with company and supplier objectives
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing activities, including point of sale, sales tools, and creative assets
  • Plan and implement marketing and branding strategies to drive sales growth and brand success
  • Create and facilitate marketing presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets to ensure optimal ROI
  • Gather and analyze customer insights to inform category positioning, trend analysis, and competitive programming
  • Build and launch innovation plans, including initial order quantities, packaging requirements, product positioning, sell sheets, specs, and pricing
  • Drive brand success through leadership selling against trade channels and supporting the selling efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account managers
  • Monitor field implementation and execution of programs for assigned brands to ensure product pricing and promotion
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of industry-related sales experience within distribution, hospitality, or supplier communities
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by state laws
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits, including regions, varietals, product pairing techniques, production, and service
  • Ability to adapt and assist various internal customer groups and personality types
  • Strong negotiation skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to create and sell innovative ideas
  • Goal-oriented, focused, and assertive individual with minimal supervision
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
