About the Role

eStruxture Data Centers is seeking a talented Customer Solution Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver colocation solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with customers and our sales teams to gather detailed customer requirements. You will also serve as the primary source for technical issues and questions during the sales process.

As a Customer Solution Engineer, you will translate customer requirements into solutions by working closely with our operations and engineering teams. You will also guide customers through the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition from solution to provisioning and implementation.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's or technical degree in an Engineering discipline (ideally electrical or mechanical)
  • 5+ years' experience working in a colocation – either as a Customer Solution Engineer, DC operator or technician, or an end user
  • Strong understanding and ability to communicate the requirements / features of data center systems, including electrical and mechanical infrastructure, fire suppression, physical security and networking

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal sales reps and external customers
  • Participate in sales and customer calls, over the phone and in-person
  • Develop technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs
  • Design customer technical solutions with engineering diagrams
  • Understand and articulate technical advantages of eStruxture services
  • Administer technical training and guidance to sales reps and management
  • Provide customer advocacy for all post-sale implementation issues until resolved
  • Oversee a seamless transition from sales close to provisioning
  • Ensure correct technical content of all customer orders
  • Help develop best practices to improve the efficiency of technical sales
  • Help prepare detailed cost estimates
