Medical Devices Reprocessing Specialist

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation to the highest standards.
- Contribute to a safe and quality care environment by effectively managing workload, addressing issues, and exercising sound professional judgment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and asepsis principles.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of cleaning, decontamination, inspection, testing, packaging, and sterilization of instrumentation and high-level disinfection of endoscopes.
- Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program or equivalent through an accredited college.
- Two years of experience working with complex surgical instruments, such as operating room instrumentation.
- Experience with low-temperature sterilization.
- Proficiency in computer systems and medical terminology.
- Two years of experience in Central Service or Sterile Processing Department.
