We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Brandt. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/crushing units, pavers/compaction, and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop/field environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
  • Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities.
  • Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Prepare electronic inspection and service reports.
  • Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
