Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose heavy duty equipment, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and perform repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document work orders with machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

Required Skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Effective communication and teamwork with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
