About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced domain and technical expert in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) to join our Industry Solutions team at MongoDB. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in aligning MongoDB technology and feature set with the FSI industry, ensuring we understand clients and their needs to develop modern solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay on top of industry trends and develop an understanding of where the market is moving in regards to solutions and requirements.
  • Generate content (e.g., webinars, white papers, blogs, events, presentations) fit for purpose to various constituencies, including product teams, sales, partners, end clients, decision makers, and senior executives.
  • Engage with clients' senior executives to help business leaders see the vision of how MongoDB is a solution for their industry's needs, wants, and pain points.
  • Work closely with a broad variety of functions inside the company, including product, partners, marketing, and sales.
  • Play a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward.
  • Be a trusted advisor to a wide range of clients from startups to the world's largest enterprise IT organizations.
Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience in the financial services or insurance industry in multiple areas (e.g., IT operations, Digital Banking, Risk & Treasury, Retail, Wealth management, commercial banking, Credit card operations, Payments, and/or other related areas).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to visualize and communicate complex information to all levels of an organization.
  • Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems and modern software architecture patterns.
  • Ability to discuss a broad range of data technologies (e.g., RDBMS, document, key-value, unstructured, NoSQL, JSON, XQuery/XML).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or beyond.
  • Experience with definition of standards, working in forums, councils, steering committees.
  • Experience working with various database products, ETL tools, and financial software solutions.
  • Experience with database programming and data models.
  • MongoDB Certification.
  • Additional language skills in other languages (Conversational is appropriate).
