Registered Practical Nurse

The Brucelea Haven nursing department is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join their team. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality, resident-focused care.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse
- Implement and evaluate resident care according to established standards, policies, and procedures
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- One year of previous working experience in healthcare, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Post-RPN education and experience in gerontology or a related field (preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- TB Two Step Skin Test
- 3 COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Demonstrated commitment to providing resident-focused care
- Ability to work with others in a team approach
- Physically able to perform assigned duties within a flexible work schedule
- Genuine interest in the wellbeing of the elderly
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and flexibility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet and maintain health requirements as per Long Term Care Legislation
