We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on an indeterminate basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of procurement services, including the acquisition of specialized goods and services according to House of Commons policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out all aspects of procurement services, including acquiring specialized goods and services
  • Providing guidance, advice, and support to ensure the process is effective, expeditious, and ethical
  • Providing the best possible value for the House

In return for your expertise, we offer:

  • A competitive salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Work-life balance (35-hour workweek)
  • Four weeks' vacation (minimum)

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • Graduation from a post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of relevant education, work experience, and training
  • Experience in applying the competitive procurement process, preparing statements of requirements, and specifications; drafting bid solicitation documents; managing the bidding process, analyzing bids and proposals; negotiating and preparing framework agreements; administering framework agreements; resolving disputes; and recording transactions and agreements
