Agricultural Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:
The Sales Representative, Agro will be responsible for driving sales and profitability in a diverse and highly competitive retail environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintaining good relationships with key crop input suppliers and territory representatives
- Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities in the agricultural market
- Conducting sales presentations, product demonstrations, field meetings, farm calls, cooperative product trials, agronomy events, marketing support, and crop planning services
- Working with current or prospective clients to make sound crop production and risk management decisions, focusing on crop planning, seed selection, fertility, weed, disease, insect, and harvest management
- Executing marketing plans to meet or exceed established sales and margin targets
- Providing regular reports on sales activities
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the agricultural industry
- Providing feedback on client needs and market trends
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 or equivalent education, with a preference for post-secondary education in business or a related field.
They will be passionate and highly motivated, with a proven track record in sales and a commitment to ongoing development in the industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with all team members, are essential.
A Class 5 Driver's License and successful completion of a Criminal Record Check are also required.
