About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Project Manager to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our Surgical Services team, you will play a critical role in leading and coordinating high-priority projects that drive strategic initiatives and improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to projects, including the development of project teams, to ensure successful implementation of high-priority surgical strategies.
  • Project Management: Apply knowledge and experience in project management, process review, and analysis to ensure initiatives are completed in a timely manner and result in quantifiable improvements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Coordinate, analyze, and interpret surgical services reporting and information to support strategic decision-making and lead the process related to the maintenance of ongoing monitoring and reporting on progress and status of key metrics and deliverables.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure full partner identification and participation in project areas, including facility staff, medical staff, consultants, and community programs.
  • Change Management: Identify and analyze gaps, provide suggestions for mitigation of issues, and promote the expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful project implementation.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare formal reports and statistical information, including project executive summaries, project charters, needs assessments, gap analyses, work plans, and status updates.
Requirements
  • Experience in project management, process review, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of surgical services and healthcare operations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
