Strategic Project Manager, Surgical Services

About the Role:
In this exciting opportunity with the Interior Health Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Project Manager to lead our Surgical Services team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing high-priority surgical and gastrointestinal endoscopy projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring successful implementation of surgical strategies and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, medical staff, and support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement key strategies and initiatives that drive business growth and improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of project charters, status updates, briefing papers, and reports to ensure timely and effective communication between stakeholders.
- Ensure the timely and effective implementation of decisions and communication between various working groups, teams, and key partners.
- Participate in Health Authority-wide committees and working groups as required, contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, process review, and analysis, with a strong track record of delivering high-priority projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
