About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished academic psychiatrist to lead our Department of Psychiatry as the Department Head and Program Medical Director of the UHN-CAMH Partnership. This is a unique opportunity to advance clinical care, research, and education in mental health at a global standard, commensurate with UHN and CAMH's ranking and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership in advancing mental health care at UHN and increasing collaborative clinical and academic initiatives with CAMH.
- Work within UHN's Program Matrix model, providing leadership in concert with a Clinical Vice President, as well as other Program Medical Directors and Clinical Directors.
- Have primary responsibility for quality and safety in the Centre for Mental Health and dyadic responsibility with the Clinical Vice-President/Clinical Director for Finances and clinical operations.
- Attend the CAMH Clinical Executive and lead integration efforts related to clinical care, education, and research in mental health across CAMH and UHN.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world's leading research centres in its field. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a Pan America Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre.
Requirements
- MD and FRCPC or equivalent qualifications.
- Licensure in Ontario.
- Experience leading in a complex academic health sciences centre.
