About the Role
The Junior Lawyer is a key member of our team, responsible for providing legal information and guidance to clients over the phone. As a Junior Lawyer, you will work closely with our team of experienced lawyers to provide expert advice and support to clients in a variety of legal areas, including civil law, administrative law, and criminal law.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to client calls and provide legal information and guidance on a range of topics, including civil law, administrative law, and criminal law.
- Conduct research and analysis to provide accurate and up-to-date legal information to clients.
- Write articles and other content to help clients understand complex legal concepts.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law and membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec.
- JD degree in Common Law (an asset).
- At least 6 months of experience in the practice of law.
- Bilingualism in English and French (oral and written).
- Knowledge of civil law, civil procedure, and administrative law.
- Strong client focus (listening, empathy, professionalism).
- Results-oriented (identifying and addressing client problems).
- Team player.
