About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our cloud operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our managed services offerings in the KPMG production cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Document Production Environments: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of production environments, including configuration and setup procedures.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to automate DevOps processes, develop and adopt new tools and methodologies, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provision and Govern Production Environments: Provision pre-production and production environments, collaborate with security and architecture teams, and ensure continuous proactive governance and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and Maintain Production Environments: Troubleshoot support, helpdesk, and business escalations, and perform periodic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or a related field, or equivalent technical diploma combined with relevant experience.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in IT operations, working in large and complex IT environments, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
  • Skills: Proven experience administering large applications in production-grade cloud environments, with a focus on Azure (other cloud platforms: AWS, GCP). Experience with configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Puppet), proactive governance, monitoring, and continuous operational improvement processes.
  • Team Management: At least 2 years of experience managing teams in the IT and/or software development space.
