About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of top-notch engineers who are responsible for building and operating our engineering platform at Buf.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement multi-cloud configuration and management solutions for Google Cloud and AWS resources.
  • Ensure high availability and high release velocity through seamless deployment and staged release processes.
  • Maintain proper security and access controls to prevent nefarious actors from compromising our systems.
  • Design and build production-ready infrastructure systems that meet the technical, functional, and business needs of our platform.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand the technical, functional, and business needs of our platform.
  • Participate in 1-week on-call rotations to ensure prompt issue resolution.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience owning projects as part of a team of software engineers in areas relevant to this role.
  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and software development.
  • A track record of architecting and building robust and reliable production-grade distributed systems.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
