We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our news team in Vancouver. This is a one-year contract position for a maternity leave. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Providing editorial leadership, direction, and feedback for the CityNews team in Vancouver
- Leading special projects, including breaking news, prime-time specials, and election coverage
- Collaborating with our OMNI News, RTV, and 1130 News Radio teammates in Vancouver and Canada to provide the best content to our viewers
- Elevating editorial and journalistic standards for the content team
- Working with operations and engineering teams to continue to innovate our news production model
- You have an eye for great content and know what works for digital, radio, and broadcast
- You are willing to explore new ideas and approaches to content and production, especially when it comes to streaming and news production
