About the Role:


We are seeking a seasoned Civil Utilities Engineering Discipline Lead to join our dynamic team in Toronto West. As a key member of our Design & Engineering group, you will be responsible for leading and managing civil and utilities engineering projects, leveraging your expertise in utilities, road and transit projects in Ontario.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage civil and utilities engineering projects, including class environmental assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, intersection, and corridor improvement studies.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of our Toronto West office.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our projects.

Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of municipal engineering design and project management experience, with 8+ years in transportation/transit engineering.
  • P.Eng. required, with a Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience with Metrolinx, MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, and Halton Region, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and Civil3D.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • A strong understanding of the GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
