Your Role

You will be integral to the development and growth of our civil practice as an Intermediate Civil Engineer. This position requires creativity, innovation, and the ability to drive change in complex and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Lead and Managers to focus on civil design for linear infrastructure.
  • Coordinate all aspects of civil design, including being responsible for the design.
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of a project.
  • Complete civil designs following the budget and schedule.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues.
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision-making related to the civil design.
  • Ensure client requirements, specifications, and standards are integrated into the project.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Represent GHD at Client meetings when required.

Requirements

  • A Professional Engineering (P.Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years' of extensive technical design experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a Design Build environment considered an asset.
  • Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential.
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
  • Team building and mentoring skills.

What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
