Job Title: Live-in Caregiver for Children

DR. JOSEPH ENGLISH BUWEMBO is seeking a reliable and compassionate live-in caregiver to provide top-notch childcare for a family in a permanent position.

Hours:

35 to 40 hours per week

Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:

Experience an asset

Work Site Environment:

The work site is a non-smoking and scent-free environment.

Work Setting:

The caregiver will work in the employer's/client's home and may have the option to live in on a no-charge basis. However, this is not a condition of employment.

Tasks:
  • Change diapers
  • Follow parents' lead with toilet training
  • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Help children with homework
  • Cook
Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test
