Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced risk management professional to play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's assets by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact our financial, operational, and reputational standing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required, and certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential risks across various business operations, including financial, operational, regulatory, and other areas
  • Conduct risk assessments, analyze data, and develop risk reports to inform senior management decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure alignment on risk control measures
  • Support business continuity planning and crisis management efforts
