Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic duties in accordance with their scope of training and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient/resident care and technical, administrative, and operational support functions as part of the multi-disciplinary team approach of service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Rotate through various workstations as required and participate in standby and callback duty as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Must have completed or presently be registered in courses in Cross Sectional Anatomy and/or Computed Tomography, working towards completion of CAMRT Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.

Working Conditions

  • Lifts and moves patients.
  • Pushes and pulls heavy portable machines.
  • Stoops and bends.
  • Working shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.
