Job Summary:

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Specialist to join our Industrial Group at our headquarters in Toronto, Canada. This role is responsible for performing certification and understanding test methods on a variety of Industrial Control Devices to meet Canadian and US standards. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform certification and testing on Industrial Control Devices to ensure compliance with Canadian and US standards.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of test methods and procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve technical issues and provide expert advice.
  • Prepare and review certification reports, certificates of compliance, and other related documentation.
  • Work closely with laboratory staff and mentors to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical safety.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in industry or industrial control, or Certified Engineering Technologist/Technician with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including operating principles and calibration procedures.
  • Experience working with industrial control equipment standards (CSA C22.2 no.14, CSA B44.1/ASME A17.5) and Canadian Electrical Code Part I is an asset.
