Rental Service Supervisor Job Description

H.A.L.T. HOLDINGS LTD is seeking a skilled Rental Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our rental operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our rental agency, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks to sales staff to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Authorize Payments: Process payments by cheque, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to meet business needs and employee availability.
  • Sell Merchandise: Promote and sell rental products to customers, meeting sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring stock is available to meet customer demand.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Lead and direct the activities of sales staff, ensuring they meet performance expectations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Rural area, rental agency, retail business, or car wash.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, including retail salespersons and sales clerks.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, permanent position, 80 hours bi-weekly, and English as the primary language of work.
