Project Coordinator - Design Build

SAJO is a leading general contractor and project management firm specializing in interior retail construction. We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Insight: Provide constructability insights and propose cost-effective solutions and design variations.
  • Client and Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Bid Process Management: Assist in managing the bid process, review, and prepare bid documents.
  • Tender Evaluation: Evaluate tenders when received and prepare cost breakdowns.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate all project members, establish production schedules, and revise schedules to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Budget Compliance: Assist in managing budget compliance and processing financial aspects of the project.
  • Quality Monitoring: Monitor work progress to assess compliance with quality standards and ensure constant communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Shop Drawing Analysis: Analyze shop drawings and data sheets to determine requests for information (RFI), update, and load drawings into Procore.
  • Production and Shipping Coordination: Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure schedules are respected.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare and document production, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other project information.
  • Project Closure: Assist in unit handover, job closing, and post-mortem.
Qualifications:
  • BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, or related education.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore, and Bluebeam software is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible, client-centered, proactive, and solution-oriented.
