We are offering an estimated annual salary of $99,113 to $123,246, based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions in the region. This is a competitive compensation package that reflects the high standard of living in Prince George, which offers affordable housing, low cost of living, and access to outdoor activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and promoting the integration of information technologies and change initiatives that automate and enhance evidence-based practices, access to patient/client information, and documentation via healthcare systems. They will work closely with clinical leaders, HIM leaders, service and program managers, directors, physicians, and staff to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and meaningful use of health information systems throughout Northern Health's programs and services.
This role requires a strong understanding of health information management, health information science, and relevant professional development in areas such as clinical documentation improvement, information governance, enterprise information management, process improvement, change management, project management, group facilitation, and digital health. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of recent experience in HIM operations and/or health information systems facilitation or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
