Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work activities of the crew, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Delegate job tasks to crew members to assist in the completion of projects.
  • Oversee the execution of work, including quality and production, to ensure that crews work to job specifications.
  • Monitor the use of materials and resources to ensure operations are within budget.
  • Set and maintain work standards and outline behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity.
  • Recognize, address, and resolve issues or problems among crew members.
  • Work with the Specialty Teams Supervisor on all field aspects of the project budget, schedule, and productivity.
  • Provide hands-on assistance and guidance on all construction and renovation projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in residential wood frame construction, repair, and renovation.
  • Minimum 3 years' supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Journeyperson Carpentry certification an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in reading and understanding construction plans.
  • Demonstrated ability in carpentry and building maintenance.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Willing and able to travel.
