Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Electrical & Systems Estimator to join our team at AACE International. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed cost estimates for major infrastructure construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost estimates for infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, concept design, and detailed design phases.
  • Provide expert advice on capital and operational expenditure (OPEX) elements of projects, including cost benchmarking and target-setting.
  • Collaborate with project clients, stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates.
  • Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain current market prices for materials, equipment, and systems.
  • Participate in probabilistic risk assessment workshops to calculate contingency provisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to ensure accurate and effective cost estimation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in cost estimating positions across pre-contract/post-contract phases of infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with estimating software used on major civil engineering projects.
  • Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management Degree and/or M&E Certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide accurate cost estimates.
