Turner & Townsend Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator/Senior Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and residential projects throughout Canada.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and present cost plans, including estimating and cost planning activities.
- Prepare construction cost estimate reports at all stages of design.
- Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Ensure effective cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work.
- Participate in value engineering, LEED analysis, and life cycle costing.
- Negotiate and approve final accounts.
- Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
- Prepare mechanical/electrical cost estimates for all asset classes and at all levels of design.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
- Demonstrate solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
- Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
- Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
- Experience preparing electrical cost estimates on complex construction projects.
- Experience managing electrical cost or estimating on data center, high-tech, manufacturing, commercial real estate, or relatable construction projects.
- Construction experience with electrical systems.
- Experience with all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) a plus.
