The Opportunity
As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be an integral part of our Global Finance Team, responsible for a diverse range of finance projects across our global offices. You will take ownership and be responsible for managing a range of finance responsibilities, and closely support the business with financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the various statutory audits globally, ensuring adherence by all stakeholders to agreed timelines;
- Review of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements of multiple legal entities globally, for audit and filing purposes, along with the supporting workbooks, as prepared under IFRS or local GAAP;
- Lead the expected credit loss provisioning analysis under IFRS 9;
- Be a subject matter and technical expert for the business, staying abreast of accounting standards and reporting requirements, while working consultatively with other teams and stakeholders;
- Lead and collaborate on cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
- Review of board reports and regulatory filings;
- Uphold adherence of global internal controls and policies, as well as navigate and assist in the global standardisation of supporting documentation to achieve efficiencies.
Requirements
- An internationally recognised accounting or financial industry designation (e.g. CPA, CA or CIA), with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience;
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (mainly IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements, IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and IFRS 16 Leases);
- Proven effectiveness in leading and working with large teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
- Ability to use their own initiative and demonstrate flexibility to meet deadlines and succeed in a dynamic and changing environment;
- Maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with analytical BI tools an advantage.
