Job Overview

The Financial Reporting Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the preparation of precise and timely consolidated financial statements. This position encompasses overseeing compliance with ASPE and internal policies while managing the financial reporting processes. Additionally, the role focuses on enhancing reporting efficiency and automation, developing analytical tools, and leading a committed team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements;
  • Generate reports while maintaining compliance with ASPE and internal policies;
  • Oversee the allocations and consolidations reporting workstream, including the review and posting of corporate journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation entries;
  • Review submissions from local entities;
  • Analyze data from various sources to ensure consistency in accounting and reporting systems;
  • Drive improvements in reporting and automation processes, including formalizing and documenting procedures;
  • Assist in maintaining the chart of accounts in both ERP and reporting software;
  • Develop new analytical tools to enhance and streamline reporting;
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the consolidation and reporting team;
  • Support the evaluation of technical accounting matters, including complex transactions and the adoption of new accounting standards;
  • Assist with year-end audit and tax packages;
  • Report on key performance indicators within the finance team;
  • Act as the OneStream administrator, overseeing application change management and governance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of five years of experience, with experience in a BIG 4 firm being advantageous;
  • CPA designation;
  • Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with SAGE, OneStream, and SQL is a plus;
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with a solid understanding of financial controls and processes;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting in accordance with ASPE;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment;
  • Experience with foreign currencies and multinational companies is highly preferred.

This position requires interaction with both internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
