Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of sales staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, including assigning duties and tasks.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise as needed.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure the store is well-organized and maintained.
  • Sell merchandise and supervise the return of goods.
  • Coordinate the activities of 5-10 staff members.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week.
