Key Responsibilities:

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for performing mathematical calculations and data reconciliations, streamlining current processes, and creating or updating supporting documentation. You will also need to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of actuarial programs.

Requirements:

  • Advanced mathematical, data management, and programming skills
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets), databases, and word processing software
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail/accuracy
  • Proven research, analysis, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions
  • Completion of a university degree with courses in mathematics, economics, and/or business
  • Completion of a minimum of one exam through the Society of Actuaries or Canadian Institute of Actuaries
  • Commitment to attain Associate designation through the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary, annual pay increases, an annual bonus program, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes life insurance, disability, health, and dental coverage, as well as a generous health account. We also provide flexible work arrangements, an annual allotment of personal health days, four weeks of annual vacation from hire date, and a defined contribution pension plan with generous employer matching.

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
