About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Actuary to join our Retail Actuarial team at THE EMPIRE LIFE INS. CO.

The successful candidate will lead the actuarial pricing analysis and risk management of our Individual Life and Health new business portfolio, ensuring sound pricing practices for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing analysis, modelling and performance monitoring of our Individual Life and Health new business portfolio
  • Collaboration with the Product Development team to review new product opportunities and changes to existing products
  • Presenting pricing and risk management recommendations to senior management teams
  • Acting as an expert on in-force product reviews
  • Supervising and coordinating product development work of Actuarial employees
  • Liaison with reinsurance partners to support ongoing product development
What We're Looking For
  • Completion of FSA and/or FCIA designation
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in actuarial roles within the life insurance industry
  • Advanced actuarial and modelling skills, including practical experience in the pricing of insurance products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence decisions and balance competing objectives
