We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Aztec Structural Restoration Inc. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and restoration of various structures.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and repair structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the stability and integrity of structures.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will also be required to work outdoors and in various locations.
Requirements- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Ability to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
- Ability to work outdoors and in various locations.
- Ability to maintain, repair, and renovate structures.
- Steel-toed safety boots.
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent.
