Aztec Structural Restoration Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to assist our experienced carpenters in various construction projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist experienced carpenters in reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various locations.
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the project.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train and develop skills on the job.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
- Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. The role requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
What We Offer:- Permanent full-time position.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- English language required.
- Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment provided.
