Carpenter Job Description

At Hardwall Construction Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices, ensuring they receive proper training and guidance.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, as well as wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and instruct others.
  • Proficiency in estimating costs and materials, with attention to detail and accuracy.
