Carpenter Job Description

At Hardwall Construction Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
