Design Assistant – VP

Thomson Tremblay inc. is seeking a highly skilled Design Assistant to support our VP of Design in delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in bringing projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the VP of Design in organizing the design department
  • Collaborate on and lead interior design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development
  • Ensure timely follow-ups on projects
  • Provide project team coordination for finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Work with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet overall project objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English and French) with advanced English language skills
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Creative eye and aesthetic sense, as well as strong communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in Canada, preferably in an architectural firm
  • Strong graphic presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of InDesign and graphic artist skills is an asset
  • A love of home décor and creative endeavors is a huge asset
